This unusual cut crystal vase with lid by Baccarat features bronze mounts and is believed to date from the late nineteenth century. Condition is excellent. There are no visible cracks or chips. Signed on underside. 18.7" H X 8.7" W X 6" D (47.6cm H X 22.2cm W X 15.2cm D). The style of the bronze mounts, particularly the handles containing crystals, is similar to a Baccarat white opal glass vase with polychrome enamel decoration by Bellanger, which was sold in lot 22 by Sotheby's in New York on 10/26/06 for an impressive $45,000 including buyer's premium.
