19th century bronze and beveled glass frame from France.Bronze plates top and bottom depicting a nesting bird in a tree branch creates the bronze header.Stands on tiny ball feet. Each plate attaches to a spring mechanism on the center back. Pull up and disengages.Bronze easel with hook that could be used to hang on the wall as well.The spring mechanism holds the 1/4 inch beveled glass snugly when released. This style mixes easily with other antique frames,gives a clean yet old look and allows for floating a photo if not as large as the overall dimension. Excellent condition. Measures overall 8H X 4.25L X 3.75D with easel. The display portion of the glass less bevel is 6H X 4L.
