Brand new, incense Burner. Vented lid has Fu dog figure. Dragon handles. Floral relief around body of the burner. Cast bronze. Fu Dogs were found at the threshold of Buddhist temples. Earliest traces of the animal show up in art from the Han Dynasty, 208 BC to AD 221. After disappearing from use for 400 years, they reappeared during the T’ang Dynasty, AD 618-917.
