This is a second printing of this Britannica Alas from 1970. The first printing and copyright was in 1969. It is printed in four different languages: English, German, Spanish and French. In keeping with the international outlook of the atlas, the metric system of measurement has been used throughout the reference maps, rather than the British-U.S. system. Map scales and elevations and depth scales on the maps are given in both systems of measurement. In the Legend of Maps meter-foot and kilometer-mile equivalents are given. It has 223 pages of maps and data on every country in the world. It contains World, Ocean, and Continent maps. Regional and metropolititan maps. It also contains elevation or contour maps, street maps, population maps, and much, much more. It is in excellent condition with all pages intact and no markings or writing.
