The lid of this brass powder compact has a shiny inlaid pattern with two branches of flowers and a double bar on each side. The back has a very busy criss cross design. Pushing the button on the side opens it up. On the very bottom is a circle of white paper, then the cardboard ring sifter, and the salmon colored powder puff with satin ribbon strap is on top. It is obvious no powder has ever been inside. The mirror has some discoloration, including a 1" round area in the middle where it looks like it was clued to the lid.
