Handsome large brass planter from 19th century Scotland which is hand forged with copper rivets along each side. Additional copper rivets in each of the sturdy handles. Scottish shield with lion and swags raised motif on the front and outlined in black. Has been professionally polished and in excellent condition.Sits on large collar base. Accommodates a large plant or tree in style or firewood on the hearth.Good weight to support an interior clay or plastic pot with drainage. Measures 18L X 14D X 12H.
