An impressive Georgian Regency period gothic clock with the original wall bracket. A pale mahogany case with satinwood inlays. Brass side sound fretwork. A convex dial signed 'Bentley & Beck Royal Exchange London'. A twin fusee mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell.
Bentley & Beck are recorded as working 1815-1824 in Baillies 'Watch and Clockmakers of the world' book.
