In 1966 I was working in East Africa (Tanzania) in the central region. Every Saturday a charming old man came to my bungalow to sell things he had made. I think he told me these bracelets were made from car parts. I am selling three, all different patterns. Click to enlarge to see the pattern. In the third photo you can see how the middle part lifts to put the bracelet on the wrist. Although I've worn all three (in 1966, once or twice) I've always considered them works of art and kept them in my studio. I've reached the age where I'm selling all of my collections.
