Antique ABP Cut Glass Jewel Box Ca. 1900 Large 9"D

Large American Brilliant Period cut glass/crystal jewel box, circa 1900.  Silver-plated rim with no marks whatsoever.  Eight pointed star pattern with hobstar center on lid.  Similar to C.F. Monroe/ Wavecrest, but could not find in their catalogs of the period.  Octagonal base measures 9"d; lid 7.75"d; overall 5"h.  Has wear to metal rim, and hinge is slightly askew but opens and closes well.  Chip to foot rim measures .5"w, but is nearly invisible from upright position.  Several small flakes to pattern edges, but still gorgeous, especially in bright light.  Very large size.  Sold as is.  Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
