To an early 17th C. English joined hinged lid blanket box. The front panels carved with stylized incised flowers and the initials W. S. the rail above is also carved in a running rope motif. The remaining stiles and rails are moulded and mounted with flat panels. The original lid has been rehinged several times and has a small repair. The piece retains great surface and color. It was in the collection of the William Trent House Museum, Trenton, New Jersey.
