A Bow Tie pattern quilt top from the 1940's done in red and white. It is machine pieced and each block measures 5.5" with 5.5" borders. It is in good condition with no wear or fading, however, there are 2 small stains at the edges, one shown in picture #4 near the red bow tie. It has 3 white bows that were done intentionally. This goes back to the old belief that only God can make something perfect so many women deliberately made one or more blocks with mistakes.
