This ships clock and custom mahogany stand are in excellent condition.
The original movement, which featured mechanically-struck ships bells, was history. I replaced it with a new, but silent, quartz movement. New battery, too!
The bronze case is typical Chelsea, sturdy, heavy and flawless. The mahogany base has been refinished. All in all, heres a nautical clock that is ready for your home or boat, and it wont annoy you with bells every half hour. Another bonus: no winding -- a fresh battery every 6-8 months will keep it purring.
