Bordens Who Wears Nose Ring In This House Ad 1946 This is a May 18, 1946 advertisement. It is a nice color ad from The Borden Company. Picture shows a nice house, barn etc and on the front lawn a sign that reads, Elsie The Borden Cow. Elmer is on his knees, has just painted an additional sign that reads, Elmer lives here too. Elsie the Cow and daughter Beulah are watching and Elsie says, But dear, everyone knows who wears the nose ring in our house. Elmer is upset because Elses name and picture are shown on Bordens packaging and not his. Elsie explains that Bordens makes foods. And when people think of food they think of housewives so it would be only natural that it would be her picture. In the end she calms him down with some good Bordens food. In excellent condition.
