Boors At Cards by David Teniers (1610 1690) was drawn by Josiah Boydell (1750 -1817), nephew of John Boydell, and engraved by esteemed French engraver, Jean Baptiste Michele for the Houghton Gallery Series collection. A stipple and line engraver, Jean Baptiste Michel, studied art under Chenu (1718/1730 1800) in Paris and established his reputation in his native France before moving to London around 1780. The
