Booker T. Washington Manuscript Letter Signed, one full page on the imprinted letterhead of The Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute. Feb. 27, 1904. Superb lengthy letter written to William Warner who was the president on the Pharmaceutical Company bearing his name. Washington goes into great detail asking for help with funding students tuitions. Also included is an April 29, 1904 letter from William Warner on his company letterhead giving away the Washington letter to a collector of signatures. Stating .. "thinking you would like to have one of Booker T. Washington, who might be regarded as a prominent citizen of the United States, though his skin is black" . Both letters in excellent condition, professionally framed along with 8"X10" B/W photo of Booker T working at his desk.
