This fabulous Biedermeier period compote features enamel painted figures and extensive wheel engraved decoration. It measures 7" across and 7.5" high and weighs 1 lbs. 7 oz. Base carries various placenames and the year "1838". Condition is excellent. There are some minor chips along the rim and on the underside, but no visible cracks nor repairs. (Please study our images carefully.) This item resides with our client in Westchester County NY and may be seen by appointment.
