This is a nice clean old 1/8" wide socket beveled mortise chisel that is marked BLUE GRASS on the steel. It is in very good condition overall, no rust, very sharp, looks much like a Stanley No. 750 in quality and style design. It has a very nice hardwood handle, solid a few minor dings, rosewood stain, laquer finish some minor wear, good leather end cap. The chisel measures 1/8" wide x 9.4" long overall (5.7" steel only). The mortise chisel is thicker than the firmer chisel, in fact this one is 3/8" thick at the widest point just in front of the socket, where a firmer chisel would be around 1/4" thick in this width of chisel. A hard to find heavy duty chisel!
