Nice hand carved black soapstone oriental shepherd figurine with shepherd in his cloak and staff and three sheep or rams at his feet. The bottom is marked with what I believe are Chinese markings shown in picture #4. Excellent detail with only one minor small chip on the sleeve of his cloak - shown in picture #3 - barely shows since the figure is black. It is one large piece with the one sheep in the front attached.
