Vintage BLACK AMERICANA Baker's Delight Baking Powder Sign with Price Dials. This item is being sold as a Reproduction, because I am unsure of its origin. This sign is known to be reproduced. Here's a smiling cook that sure looks proud of her baking. She is the central figure in this paper sign advertising Baker's Delight Baking Powder. Just to be sure that the sign was displayed in the grocery store, the prices for eggs and butter could be adjusted to suit. Printed on poster board and meant to hang on the wall, the back of the sign has two double paper wheels fastened with grommets to rotate and display the desired numerals. There is another smaller grommet at the top for hanging the sign. There are a some wrinkles, some subtle fading and a bit of edge discoloration (see pictures).The grommets are all brass. Dimensions are about 12-1/4" tall x 14-1/4" wide and it weighs about 2 ounces. This cheerful vintage advertising sign would be a wonderful addition to a collection or an eye-catching decorative accessory.
