This square ironstone plate or dish was designed in the 1930s for Royal Staffordshire A.J. Wilkinson potteries, Staffordshire England during the time that Clarice Cliff was art director. It is artist signed with the initials AGH or HGH. It is a plate in a shape called The Biarritz and is in an artist's rendering of the lake at the back of Buckingham Palace and is titled Buckingham Palace with has gold trim. It has the British Registry date for 1934. The plate is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks or gold wear. A neat piece from a very collectible pottery.
