This California Raisin, Ben Indasun, was part of the 1987 original series of Hardees fast food restaurant marketing promotions depicting the California Raisins. The California Raisins were part of a fictional rhythm and blues musical group, advertising and merchandising promotion that became very popular in the mid- to-late 1980s. The concept was originally created for a 1986 commercial on behalf of the California Raisin Advisory Board. Merchandise sales included placing the images on just about every conceivable medium, and some of the items created for the campaign have become part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution. Ben Indasun is made out of PVC and has a bright orange shoes and sunglasses and measures approximately, 02.00 – 2.50 inches H.
