Bell System Important Phones in Free World Ad 1959 This is a September 7, 1959 advertisement. It is a nice black and white ad from Bell Telephone System. Ad shows picture of the famed red telephone and the device at the right of the phone is internal alert dial system for alerting headquarters personnel.The phone is at Strategic Air Command. In the event of attack, orders would be given over it simultaneously to every SAC base. In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 10 1/4 inches wide by 14 inches tall.
