Looks like, smells like, and tastes like a Beck No.1, just isn't signed! I've often wondered why many extremely high quality instruments from both 18th and 19th centuries went unsigned. Looking at the details and accessories I am convinced it is a Beck. If not it sure is an exceptional copy from the period. Since the objectives in the accessory bos are a mixed bag they give no clue. The rest of the accessories appear to be original. They include: An unusual arm mount light reflector, 3 additional occular lenses, 7 various objective lenses, live box, double objective turret, lieberkahn, sub-stage condenser, sub-stage polarizer, polarizing occular, and dark field condenser. One pair of the additional occular lenses have pointers built in. There is no case for the scope itself. A wonderful large display piece and I'm sure a welcome addition to any collection.
