This is a Navajo basket, not something imported and purchased from a catalog. I bought it to add to my collection in Holbrook, Arizona. The basket maker's name was on my receipt as made by Patty Bedonia. The basket measures eight and one'half plus inches in diameter. It has a cupped shape. Holding a ruler beside it shows two inches. The browns are strong desert colors. This is a good basket for a collection.
