Beautifully carved, lovely quality Balinese large figurine by the artist Nyoman Seter - carved in teak, it depicts either a goddess or a temple dancer with what appears to be a peasant clutching her leg (!). The man wears a truly rapturous expression - he is beautifully rendered, and the female gazes serenely upon him. She holds a little pot in her left hand. Very fine detail to her bodice, headdress and jewellery. Figurine measures 52 cm high (20.1/2 inches). Excellent condition. Underneath the base is carved the words "NYOMANSETER, GUANG, BALI."
