Antique Judgenstil Glass Table Lamp by Ludwig Sutterlin for Fritz Eckert

Unavailable

This extraordinary brass and glass table lamp enameled olive and olive branch motif on the base and shade is attributed to Ludwig Sutterlin (1865-1917). It measures 24" tall and 16" across and weighs an estimated 12-16 lbs.  There are numerous scratches along the underside, but there are no visible cracks and other damages. It has modern wiring and plug, and works fine.  Sutterlin was the principal designer for Glasfabrik Fritz Heckert from 1900 to 1905, and his works reflect both Austrian Jugendstil and emerging Art Deco tastes.  For a similar item, see Passauer Glasmuseum, Dad Bohmische Glas, Vol. 5, pp. 69-71.
