Audience with Queen Elizabeth I Oil on Canvas

Unavailable
This framed oil painting on canvas depicts a lovely young female receiving an audience with the queen. This work is believed to represent Queen Elizabeth (1533-1603), last of the rulers from the House of Tudor, based on the style of attire of the queen and male figures. Note the Greek (or Roman) court scene depicted in the painting on the rear wall. The frame measures 42 by 33 inches. We have found no signature. Condition of the canvas is good. There is modest craqueure, consistent with age, but no serious losses.
