Ashtray Cast Iron Hunting Dog Bird Decoration Rare!

This is a very nice clean cast iron ashtray with a cast hunting dog carring a game bird in the dog's mouth. The dog appears to be a retreiver, and is located in the bottom of the inside of the astray. The size of the tray is 4.5" x 4.5", and has a hang hole in one of the four cigarette holder areas. The cast design is quite good, lots of detailed work! There is a few small casting voids, in fact one in the bottom corner goes through, but we believe this to be as cast, or original to this piece, and regard it as a minor casting flaw. There seems to be some sort of a light nickel or similar plating on this piece, not rusty or pitted. The bottom is marked with a "33" and that is the only marking, so we don't know who the maker was, but have not found another one like it. It weighs about 1/2 pound. A rare and collectible art cast ashtray!
