Very unusual Silver Travelling Holy Communion Set. The silver lid comes off as a pyx for wafers,if you twist the top section which is on a bayonette fitting it reveals a glass container for wine with cork at the top of the fitting to seal the wine to keep it fresh. The hammered texture of the silver,with the rope and grapes and vine decoration is the epitamy of the "Arts and Crafts Movement" of this period.
