Antique Arts and Crafts wood box, with bas-relief carved hunt scene silhouette and ornamental side carvings. This unusual, hinged box has rounded edges and dove-tailed corners and is painted gold. The bas-relief silhouette is painted black, and the carved-out portions follow the wood grain and are the natural color of the wood, which is most likely mahogany. The box measures about 3 inches high, 12 5/8 inches wide, and 4 inches deep. The box is in very good condition, with a well-fitting lid, solid hinges, and light surface wear. There are a few small dents and scratches, and a sliver of wood missing from the front outer edge where the lid and bottom meet. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition.
