The box of ovoid barrel shape, hammered body, stylised handles conforming to shape of body; the cover of similar decoration, stylised finial. Height: approx 7 ¼ ", Length: approx 6 ". Signed on base Connell 83 Cheapside English Pewter 01306, crossed arrows mark for Hutton."Connell, 83 Cheapside". Connell's were renowned "pioneers of modern artistic silverware", promoting the Arts & Crafts movement.
