For Sale I have an Outstanding piece of Art Glass Blown in the Art Nouveau Tradition. The Vase is hand Blown from a Pipe and is Decorated with Swimming Turtles.

The Base Glass is Red and is Decorated with a Mottled Yellow Gold Aurene, Favrile crackled surface treatment. This gives the appearance of Real Sand as the veining is just outstanding.

The top of the vase has a wonderful rolled top opening. This rolled edge of the opening appears Purple and this was achieved by adding a little Blue to the Red. The Swimming Turtles themselves appear to have been sand blasted or acid etched.

This is a quality piece of Art Glass and has the Same Quality level as its Antique predecessors, LCT Tiffany and Steuben. The Vase is Signed on the Bottom with the Etched Script Signature mark "Carl Radke '09" along with the round silver foil label "Phoenix Studios Carl Radke". The piece is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no excuses to be made here.

This Vase is "Investment Quality". Those of you who collect Art Glass know that examples that are blown with the Red as a Base Glass tend to bring substantially more money than any other color. This is quite evident with the Tiffany and Steuben Red pieces. In order to achieve a good Red, gold dust must be used in the formula. I'm sure the lucky buyer will cherish this piece in their Art Glass Collection.
