A terrific Art Deco ruby glass cocktail shaker enhanced with parallel bands of sterling silver overlay in varying widths. The overall appearance is very structural and linear--perfect Art Deco design. The color is very intense and the base has a polished pontil--always an indicator of quality glass. Origin: America, ca. 1930. Condition: excellent, no chips or cracks, no wear to overlay, normal plating wear to cap. Size: 11-1/2" tall.
