Art Deco Chilcote die-cut cardboard frame, circa 1939, with original glass. The Chilcote Company of Cleveland, Ohio begain making die-cut picture folders in 1906; the most recent patent date on this frame is 1939. This very cool frame, which holds a 3.5 inch by 5.5 inch picture, has a creamy tan background with silver and black trim on embossed cardboard. On the lower left is the name of the photography studio which originally sold the frame: Blackwell, Saginaw, Michigan. This great frame is intact and in very good condition. It has a few specks, mostly in the upper left corner, and one slightly more noticeable speck on the right side. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition.
