Grandma had this beautiful jar filled with quest soaps. Most apothecary jars were found on mid-century mantles or coffee tables. Some held hard candy while others like my Mom's contained tiny seashells. They were often filled with Christmas candy or tiny glass ornaments. This jar measures 8 1/2" high and 3 1/2" in diameter.
