This is a superb antique Victorian burr walnut credenza, circa 1860. Oozing sophistication and charm, this credenza is the absolute epitome of Victorian high society.
The entire piece highlights the unique and truly exceptional pattern of the burr walnut grain. This credenza is bow ended with elegant curved glass bow end doors on either side. The shelves are lined in navy blue velvet. It has a panelled door in the centre with a beautiful hand painted Sevres porcelain plaque which depicts a courting couple.
It has another three beautiful Sevres porcelain plaques along the frieze.
It opens to reveal one shelf and plenty of storage space for drinks, glasses, crockery, etc.
The credenza is beautifully inlaid, is made from the very best quality French burr walnut, has fabulous ormolu mounts and an elegant pair of columns flank the central door.
This is a stunning piece which is sure to attract a lot of attention.
