18th century Turkish Ottoman Dagger Shears with carved through the handle inscription " Ya fettah" (" God, the opener of all ways"). Details: made of iron and decorated with rich floral motifs of inlaid gold, the blades are grooved inside. Condition: in very good condition, this pair of shears is a nice example of Turkish Ottoman art work. Measurements: 10 ½ inches (26,5 cm) long. References: (1) similar shears are in the Imperial Collection of the Topkapi Palace Museum in Istanbul; Splendor of the Ottoman Sultans by Dr.Nurhan Artan- Istanbul University, page 147.
