Antique 19th century Turkish Ottoman dagger Bichaq. DETAILS: A sturdy slightly curved single edged steel blade with fuller, with a low grade silver alloy hilt, extended over the forte, with an eared pommel. In its original wooden scabbard encased in brass, engraved in scrolling foliage. The Bichaq dagger was very popular not only in Turkey and Greece, but also in many Balkan states and Armenia.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length in the scabbard: 26 cm (10 1/4 in).
CONDITION: One side of the eared pommel is with dents and split at the join.
