Extremely rare 16th century Turkish Ottoman sword Kilig with curved single edged steel blade brooding towards the tip. DETAILS: both sides of the forte with a characteristic for late Mameluke and early Ottomans swords gold damascened medallions with Kufic calligraphy, the hilt is 18th century replacement with wooden grip-scales and silver back-strap and crossguard.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length: 90cm (35 ½ in).
