Exceptional Turkish Ottoman Sword Yatagan, circa 1800 A.D. DETAILS: horn hilt terminating in characteristic ear shaped pommels set with raised corals and mounted in brass engraved with dragons, the recurved blade richly inlaid in gold with Arabic alphabet calligraphy inscription. The Yatagan swords were very popular not only in Turkey but also in many Balkan states and some Eastern European countries such as Ukraine and Hungry. Overall length: 70 cm (27,5 inches).
