This is a neat pair of small EPNS silver plated English sugar tongs or sugar nips with spoon ends. This set of small tongs was made 1890-1910 are possible saccharine tongs for the artificial sweetner that was quite popular in the late victorian period until being banned in 1911 as a menace to health. The tongs are 3.5 inches long and have a maker's mark which is very hard to decipher and are in excellent condition with no plate loss.
