Antique Stork Bird Majolica Umbrella Stand After Minton

Unavailable
This lovely old majolica umbrella stand, after the famous design by Paul Comolera for Minton's, depicts a stork bird and frog and measures 34" tall, 17.5" wide and 16" deep. Estimated weight is 35-50 lbs. Overall condition is very good, with no visible signs of repair or restoration. There are some scratches, and minor cracks and chips to the finish which are documented in our photos here. Maker is unknown. The only hallmark is the number " 7 " impressed into a green leaf on the side. This stand is a good copy of the design by Paul Comolera (1818-?), circa 1875, who worked at Minton from 1873 to 1880.
