Antique Sash Pin * Silver fleur de lis * Knight in shining armror * Family crest * Medieval BIG PIN * renaissance revival * vintage heraldry. This antique brooch is so very detailed with knights and warriors and fleur de lis and even a hunting horn. Probably a sash pin ( because it is so large) it is quite old and one of the more unusual medieval ones I have seen. The standing knight in armor has a shield behind him with ornate silver beadwork. The symbolism behind this appears all over the brooch. This measures 2 1/2" wide and is heavy ( 26 grams) and really well made. I am fairly certain it is not a mass produced piece. The pin back  is good and sturdy. IT is a beautiful brooch that is probably one of a kind and it needs a really GOOD home!  Silver content unknown. Sold as is and as found (used and vintage).
