Antique Solid Oak Plantation Desk
This Antique Solid Oak Plantation Desk, circa 1890, would certainly add a touch of elegance and functionality to any room. Constructed out of solid oak, the plantation desk has a lovely curved backsplash, a drop down lid that opens to reveal a writing surface, cubbyholes, ledger slides, and mail slots, a paneled back, and a nicely sized drawer beneath the drop down. The plantation desk is the perfect addition to smaller spaces. Just think of everything one can accommodate with the variety of storage space, envelopes, stationary, files and more. And the interior cubbyhole section is removable and allows for easy retrofitting. The finishing touch to this classic plantation desk is the elegant incised and turned legs that support it with much style. The Antique Solid Oak Plantation Desk has the original working locks with key, original wooden handle, measures, 50.25 inches H X 36.00 inches W X 20.75 inches D, and is in the original finish with appropriate wear for its age. Please note, there is a burn on the top of its backsplash and a picture of it is shown. Also, the legs are removable for easy transport.
