Antique SANTA Claus Ornament Candy Container Toy

This antique Santa Claus is made of hard plastic with fur beard and trim. We're not sure if it came with the fur - but it's CUTE! This could be a candy container because it has something inside that rattles. I don't know how to open it and didn't want to ruin it trying! It may also be an ornament or a toy, too. "Dorothy" is printed on an old piece of adhesive tape on the underside. This Santa is in VERY GOOD used condition. It is probably over 50 years old! Overall height is approximately 4 1/2".
