Antique Pad Saw 19th Century Beech

$60.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a very nice darkened beech wood handled pad saw. This one has no maker's name or mark on it, almost certainly made in 19th century England. The saw blade is in real nice shape, sharp and look new, and measures a total of 6" long. A padsaw is designed to allow the blade to be extended out and held the near full length of the blade, or as little as 1" and any amount in between. The handle is 8" long overall, and has a slot through the center of it to allow the blade to past right through it, or store inside it with most of the blade protected. The handle has minimal wear and a nice patina, some tiny dings on the wood noted, otherwise like new, no cracks. A very nice early hand-saw.
