Antique wood and gesso frame, with ornate bas-relief foliage scrolling and pearl ornamentation, in very good condition. Believed to come from the late 1800's, the frame measures about 30.5 inches high, 22.25 inches wide, and 1.25 inches deep. It will accommodate a picture that is about 15.5 inches by 24 inches. The frame moulding has 3 different depths, with the middle band projecting about .75 inches from the outer band. The middle and outer bands are dark-stained with gold highlights; the inner band is painted gold. The frame is in very good condition, sturdy and intact, with just light surface wear to the gesso. There appear to be only 2 very small areas of missing gesso which are very hard to find without close examination. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition.
