This is a beautiful oil painting of a romantic pastoral scene. The young lady is flirting with the cavalry officer in a woodland scene.
This work is signed on the lower left "Clerc.M", a French nineteenth century artist who captures the romantic mood of times past.
I have included a copy of an expertise by Dr.Armin Silbernagl, a professor of the Fine Arts Tribunal in Milan.
