Extraordinary collection of antique framed daguerreotype and ambrotype portraits arranged around a central image of a child, most likely members of the same family (thirty five in total). Some of the images have the names of the Daguerreotype and Ambrotype studios printed on the reverse, most are from the Boston area and one is from Providence, Rhode Island. A rare, hard-to- find example of early photographic processes. In good overall condition with fading and imperfections as shown.
