From the series of twelve images created by John Moyr Smith for Mintons China Works illustrating scenes from the books of poetry by Thomson, entitled "The Seasons", here is "Spring -- The Rainbow". This series by Mintons is particularly sought after and, as Lockett describes it, was "clearly a prestige product" when it was made. The tile is polychrome and printed in five colors. It is in excellent condition with light edge roughness at upper right and is finished in a fine, glossy glaze. Please write with any questions you may have.
